Gorgeous vintage deep purple amethyst faceted gemstone - a spectacular "Siberian" quality amethyst - dark violet color with red flashes - which was custom cut from rough that Joel acquired in Minas Gerais, Brazil in 1977. It is lightly included but nearly eye clean and extremely brilliant. The dimensions are 13.0 x 10.6 x 9.0 mm.

The cutting quality is extremely fine - the stone was cut in Bangkok to insure high polish and brilliancy. The cutting is FAR superior to what you find in jewelry stores! The shape is unusual but aesthetically pleasing and would be ideal for custom jewelry.

Price is for this one faceted 6.38 carat amethyst gemstone which we 100% guarantee to be natural untreated material and vintage from the 1970's!

Amethyst is the birthstone for February! The name comes from Latin and means "not intoxicated"; it was believed in ancient times that the wearer of an amethyst could drink endlessly and never get drunk!

Shipping includes insurance with the U.S.
