Here are two antique french reverse painted glass picture frames. These kind of frames where painted on one side of the glass and then reversed so you see the paint through.

These frames were made for a special type of 'photo' called the daguerreotype which was used in the second half of the 1800's.

These are antique.

There is just a think card at the back with a slit. You used to slide the 'photo' inbetween the card and the glass and then hang it up.
There is just a thin line of tape holding the glass and card together.

Length:10.2cm (4 inches)
width:14cm (5.5 inches)

CONDITION: They are NOT in good condition. They have NO cracks but are worn. The tape on the edges is very worn. The backs are worn, discoloured and marked. One is missing its hook at the back.
The glass is dirty and has marks.
They are worn and look old.

I ship from France so shipping times are longer.
