This large fabric bird is about 20 inches tall, and 20 inces long. His legs are old chair spindles, glued to a pine board that I have painted and lightly decorated. The board has a felt lining and felt pads for your furniture protection.

This bird is not child or pet safe.

I constructed this piece first making a sculpture out of grocery bags and masking tape. Then I hand sewed fabric over the form. He has glass eyes. His wing feathers were individually cut and sewn. I have used burlap and linen, and rough twine around his 'pants.' (His legs)

He is part grebe and part crane, and his posture is one of calling a mate. I hope he will find a good home!

This bird was in Prims magazine!
