Being a mother means you love deeply but you can't say anything you want.

This raku bead is an example of a new theme examining women and their roles in society.

This measures between about 27mm tall x 11mm wide. It is partially glazed and made of stoneware. The hole for stringing runs top to bottom are about 1mm. It is a little off-centered.

The raku process produces surface irregularities and can produce small chips, thermal shock lines, color transfer, pin holes and crazing. Raku produces soot most of which can be washed off, but some remains. I have washed and rinsed all beads with baking soda then filed areas that were too rough. The black coloration is absorbed into the surface of the bead and ranges in color from black to light gray. The beads can sometimes smell smoky, especially close to production, but it fades over time. All clay beads are breakable.

These beads are new and never used. These beads are for adults only and are not toys.

I ship within 2 days.
