While these wicks offer a unique experience, they do require specific care: they must be burned in non-drafty environments, and especially during the first burn, it's crucial to allow the candle to achieve a full melt pool. This initial burn is vital to prevent tunneling and ensure the wick burns consistently in subsequent uses. You'll also want to pinch off the char before each relight to ensure optimal burning. For a temporary boost, customers can coat the tip of the wick with a very small amount of olive or coconut oil to aid ignition. For those preferring less maintenance, we also offer untreated cotton wicks, which are easier to manage. Unlike many commercial candles that use treated wicks, toxic fragrance oils, and paraffin—a petroleum byproduct—our candles are crafted with clean, safe ingredients to enhance your environment without compromising health or the natural burn experience. CANDLE SAFETY & USAGE INSTRUCTIONS:

For Fragrance Only: Our products are crafted exclusively for fragrance purposes. Do not ingest, and always keep them away from children and pets.
Full Melt Pool: Always ensure a complete melt pool during every burn, especially on the first one. This prevents tunneling and ensures an even burn. If you neglect this step, you risk improper burning, for which we cannot be held responsible. Limit your burn time to 1-2 hours for best results.
Supervision & Duration: Never leave a burning candle unattended. Avoid burning your candle for more than 4 hours consecutively.
Wick Maintenance: Our wood wicks typically self-trim. However, if you observe a wick length exceeding 1/4 inch between burns, kindly trim it. This maintenance guarantees a safer and more consistent burn. Should you encounter any wick-related issues, please provide photos, and our team will guide you promptly. Often, a simple #pinchtotrim resolves the matter.
Draft-Free Zone: Position your candle in an area free from drafts or strong air currents, including fans, to ensure a steady burn.
Disposal: When a mere 1/2'' of wax remains, it's time to retire your candle for safety reasons.
Hot Surfaces & Handling: Remember, containers get hot! Always handle with care and place on a heat-resistant surface. Allow the wax to solidify before moving.
In Case of Emergency: Extinguish the candle immediately if it smokes excessively, flickers repeatedly, or the flame becomes too high. Let it cool, trim the wick, check for drafts, and then re-light.
