Beautiful Blue Portable Crank Phono from Before the War. Has been keept in good shape and Plays great. Appears to have been lubricated at one time, Chrome is great. I would like to tell you who manufactured it, but it seems to have an Edison motor mechanism,The only markings are Swiss made stamed into the tone Arm. It has an Exposistion transducer and the chrome cup is full of new needles.
As you can see, the hand crank stores inside in a chrome holder also. The discolorations that appear in the photographs of the platter are simply the very thick felt reflections from running a brush over it. The felt is perfect and not worn
size is 11" by 15" by 7" and weight is 12 pounds befor shipping materials..
I played several 78rpm records on it. Depending on the record, it is very loud and I had to close the lid a little to be comfortable. I strobed the speed and it is spot-on and has a variable control for 78s that sometimes were cut a little fast or slow. Standard back then were not as strict.
I repaired some loose covering on the backside and can be seen on one of the photos. It had drawn moisture and came loose. I simply re-cemented it and it looks good.
