I originally found the lovely "unmarked" 2 1/2 Quart Primary Green bowl and had it all set up to list by itself. Then, I found the 4 Quart number 404 Yellow bowl and they really fit together. The 4 Quart number 404 bowl measures 10 1/2 X 4 1/4 inches. Inside is excellent, outside has a few minor light scratches in the finish. The green bowl is the 1940s unmarked version of the 2.5 Quart that has the "T.M. REG." instead of the number 403 and measures 8 1/2 X 4 inches. Has a few scuffs on the outside and the inside shows quite a bit of wear (as shown in the 3rd and 4th photos) but the finish is still good.

No chips on either bowl, however.

From Pyrexlove.com on the primary bowls:

"Bill Keeley, a collector of Pyrex and Fire King glass. Bill writes that there were some variations in the primary color set throughout the years, most notably that the oldest sets from the “1940s” were not numbered on the bottom. According to him, “The markings on the bottoms of the 1940s ‘non-numbered’ bowls are only ‘T.M. REG.’ in an arch above ‘PYREX’ horizontally in the middle, and ‘U.S. PAT. OFF’ below in an up-facing arch.” The later 1950s - 1970s sets do have the numbers."
