This mama cloth sized are purse sized, and are perfect for carrying up to 3 pantyliners, 2 normal or heavy flow pads, or 1 ultimate overnight pad when folded.

They measure approximately 4" tall and are 6" wide. They can also be used to carry a few folded up cloth wipes (moistened for ease of use). They will also hold most cloth nursing pads.

These were handmade in the USA by another fabulous WAHM (work at home mom) as a complementary product to the mama cloth I offer.

Frequently asked questions about MotherMoonPads

UNSNAP YOUR PAD, and turn it over so the fleece side is showing. The snap color will tell you the absorbency

Pantyliners have a white snap. They are made from just 2 layers of fabric, with no absorbent core. Use for every day or spotting.

Moderate Flow Pads have a gray snap. The soaker is made from 1 layer of Zorb. Use as a day pad, light/moderate flow.

Heavy Flow Pads have a black snap. They have soakers made from one layer of Zorb and one layer of bamboo french terry. Use for heavy flow, overnight, light postpartum.

PostPartum pads have a red snap. They have soakers made from two layers of Zorb. Use for after birth, or for very heavy flow or overnight.

MotherMoonPads are backed with a super high quality, thin Windpro fleece. This fleece is made in America from recycled materials, and is virtually waterproof.

It is still very important to change your pad when it is fully soiled, as cloth does have a limited amount of absorbency. Any oversaturated pad will leak (usually over the side), no matter what it is backed with.
This will vary from woman to woman, as each woman's flow is different. Estimate the number of disposable pads you go through each day, and then add a few to use while you are doing the wash. Cloth pads need to be changed more often than disposable pads.

While there is no set rule for how many to buy, most women will go through 3-6 cloth pads each day, depending on their flow.

PostPartum Use:

If you want to use cloth exclusively, 6-9 postpartum and 6 heavy flow will last 1 to 1.5 days. It is recommended that you change your pad at least every 2-3 hours during the postpartum period, more often with heavier bleeding.

If you use disposables in the hospital and cloth after discharge, you may be able to use heavy flow exclusively.
