This is stitching from the cross stitch chart, Song of the Bluebird, by Leisure Arts released in 1994. Let me tell you some history of this one big project from you know where (it starts with an H).

I fell in love with this chart and decided to stitch it in 1996. I'm stitching along nicely and am just shy of halfway complete when I notice a big boo boo. I was one stitch off! I found where I erred and it was not in a good location that I could easily correct. I decided to "postpone" by stitching and picked up something else. I managed to pick it up and look at it again two years later but by that time my interest had failed and I packed it back away. Now, 16 long years later, I've decided to part with it as it isn't getting done in this lifetime. I thought maybe I could sell it half done with pattern and floss, but wondered who would want to work on something someone else screwed up on??

As I'm looking at the stitching now, I can't even find my mistake so I'm hoping you won't either. Please don't you spend time looking for it either as I don't want to be responsible for your insanity.

It was the hardest snip snip of my life, but I cut the stitching into two pieces and am selling them separately. I had two cute frames that seem to complement the stitching and am selling them separately -- the girl alone and the bird sitting in a branch.

The bird is placed in an interesting resin frame that complements the stitching. It's a small frame measuring 4-1/4" wide x 5-1/2" high. It has a slate-like look and is decorated with various leaves, ferns and dragonfly. It is free standing and will arrive without glass. In the original design, the child is is looking up at a bluebird in a branch above her. If you buy both the designs, you could hang the birder to the left of the girl and it would look nice.

Thank for visiting my shop today!
