My wall pocket began as a small Geranium leaf from the garden. It was pressed into the clay with a rolling pin. I created a backing piece of the same shape and size to form the pocket. After drying for several days, it was low-fired, oxides were applied, and then it was glazed and fired at a higher temperature.

It hangs with a braided copper wire. It can be hung indoors or outdoors. There is one small pinhole in the base for drainage, so it could be used for both dried arrangements or a small plant.

In photo #3, the afternoon sun is shining on the pocket, which brings out different colors from the glazes.
