SALE 1/3 OFF !!
Metal Smudge pot from WWI Roadside Blockade
Gentleman I purchased this from
said his grandfather was stationed in France
while serving in the Infantry overseas during WWI
This was a smudge pot they burned
along roadsides at blockades..and it had gone out
so he picked it up to bring back to the US
as a souvenir
I have cleaned this with EVERYTHING i could think of
it was Pitch black when I purchased it..
this was the best condition I could get this in
has some unusual detailing on the side of handle
I have no reason to doubt the story as this gentleman was
retired and definitely old enough to have a grandfather
of the correct age during the time era
NO idea of actual value of this item
it is over a century old and I have found No others of the correct age
to compare it to
asking 15 USD

REDUCED to $ 10
