These bowls are currently on reserve for LAZYOWL. These bowls are now 40% off their original price! If you want something really amazing for your vintage/antique collection; look no further. This set of 3 mixing bowls is from Villeroy & Boch, Dresden from the Saxony collection. They are glazed in a brilliant, bright blue and have an elegant, white tulip pattern circling the lip of each bowl. From the outside, you would have no idea how old they are, but a look on the inside and you can tell that these bowls have been loved and used for 100 years or more. This just adds to their great life story, however. They are numbered 6802 on the bottom and the Villeroy and Boch stamp that is used indicates that the bowls were made somewhere between 1874-1909. The smallest bowl exhibits the most wear and tear having a couple of large cracks and a lot of staining, or character as I like to say, on the inside. The medium bowl has one, large crack and crazing, of course, and some staining from what looks like butter or some type of fat that was mixed in this bowl at some point in its life. The largest bowl is still in pretty good shape, having only one small crack and crazing in the glaze. I would say that the 2 smallest bowls should only be used to serve or hold dry ingredients or for display because of the shape they’re in, but the largest one could still be used to mix anything you wish. Such a beautiful and RARE set waiting to be showcased once again in someone’s special home.
