Okay, now this is something invented and new from across the sea. This is called Shag Silk Sari Ribbon. It is the ends of the weaving loom of a silk and cotton mix that has shag fringe on it. This color is a pretty silver grey, gorgeous!. This is 10 yards long and approximately 1 1/4" to 1 1/2" including the each side of shag area. There is a knot at each end and if you find any long loose threads, do not pull these, just cut them, pulling can damage your shag. This is the most unusual find to use as trim, make it into a necklace, sew on some beads or weave it into your project. This is the more expensive import than the sari ribbon because it's a harder fiber to get. The ladies in India go from mill to mill looking through piles and piles of scrap to find this little gem, it's just beyond unique!! Zoom in, take a look and think about what project would be just right for this find Shag Sari Ribbon Trim. This is enough to make a cool necklace to wrap around you twice just as it is!
