This pair of 1940s newlyweds was hand painted by a ceramics shop owner in Commerce, TX. They are dated on the bottom: 1943

The groom is approx. 8" tall. The bride is approx. 7.25" tall.

He is wearing 40s style black formal wear including his top hat that he holds in his hand. She is wearing a 40s style swing coat with with fur trim, a fur muff, and long pink skirt, a darling wide brim hat with fur trim, and tiny gold shoes.

The little plaster pair has no chips or cracks or repair lines to the plaster, but there are few SMALL spots where the paint has chipped. Their faces are so sweet. Please note that the reddish smudge on her chin is no longer there. I ran my finger over it, and it came right off! Of course, that was AFTER I'd already taken the pictures!
