Why buy antique prints? Because modern copies of prints lack the collectability and re-sale value of an antique print. Copies also cannot give you the pleasure and satisfaction of owning a real piece of 19th Century Art!

* This is NOT a recent reproduction or copy but a GENUINE authentic antique print from the date stated - money back guarantee! I do not sell modern reproductions.

The print is much crisper and more detailed than my picture shows. Please always note measurements above, as the image may appear larger or smaller than the actual print.

Note: Engravings, photogravures, chromolithograph's, typogravures (steel engravings), lithographs etc. that I offer are prints, i.e. an image(s) printed on paper from the date specified.

Terminology: The specific designation of each antique print, which is also indicated at the top of my auction pages (Engraving, Photogravure, etc.), is based on the technique used to produce it.

I have over 20 years of studying antique paper. Please email me with any questions you have.

Thank You!

Frequently asked questions about HadesMuse

To insure a safe delivery I mail out 99% of the prints in an acid-free sleeve, shipped flat inside a sturdy rigid envelope, protected with thick cardboard.
Yes, all my prints are genuine original antique prints from the date stated. I do not sell modern reproductions.
I will include a "care of your antique print" information sheet with your purchase.
Please keep in mind the prints I sell have been around for 100 years or more. Individual pieces may have seen many owners and been handled many times over the course of their existence. As a result each piece has developed a history of its own. Short edge splits, foxing, discoloration, etc. are all things to expect on prints of this age. They rarely distract from the beauty of the print and add to the overall character of the item. When you receive your print remember that you are not handling a modern copy, you are holding a piece of history!
Foxing is an age-related process that causes spots and browning on old paper.
