Made of Exotic Ziricote, a very beautiful, very dense & durable exotic hardwood from the Yucatan Peninsula. No stock photos here...the pick shown is the actual pick you will receive.
This premium handcrafted guitar pick was shaped & sanded independently, it features a concave thumb groove on each side to ensure a firm grip, & to also give the pick an incredible feel of control. This pick measures approx. 1-1/4” or 31 mm long X 1-1/16" or 27 mm wide, it is about 3 mm thick at the thickest part of the pick, but feels & plays thinner due to the thumb grooves on each side, the pick tapers down to a thickness of about 1 mm at the tip, it was designed with the guitar player in mind for comfort & playability, this pick is treated with a special oil blend, for lasting protection I let the pick soak in the oil to ensure that the pick is deeply penetrated, I then apply a natural bees wax paste & hand rub the pick for a smooth & silky finish, while the rough sanded areas keep their grip for comfort & control, & if you perspire or moisten your finger tips, it will actually improve your grip. It may take a while to get used to playing with a wooden pick, but every guitar player that I know, simply can't live without their hardwood guitar picks. So why not take your guitar playing to the extreme, with the true tones that my handmade Artisan wood picks employ...They also make excellent gifts! Thanks for looking!

ZIRICOTE - Cordia Dodecandra
The tree is native to the Yucatan Peninsula in Central America from Guatamala to southern Mexico, & primarily Belize.
Ziricote is the most dramatic member of the Cordia genus, which grows throughout Central and tropical South America. It is a superior furniture & musical instrument lumber. The heartwood is dull brown with irregular dark brown and black streaking, and the sapwood is creamy white to light golden tan. A pleasing ray or fleck figure is visible in quartersawn stock. Ziricote's grain is generally straight, and its texture is medium to coarse.. It takes a smooth finish, polishes well, and holds screws and nails well. Long used by natives for decorative craft objects, ziricote is also used for boat decking, turnings, & interior woodwork.
