This is a set of 10 crystal-clear glass dessert or salad plates. They originally belonged to my great-grandmother who had a penchant for throwing large dinner parties (her recipe box includes things like "Curry for 30" menus, no kidding) in her stately New England home. So, Grom always had a plethora of dinnerware on hand. These plates look like they saw minimal use and were probably back-ups stashed away in the EPIC china cabinets she had. No chips or cracks, and only the slightest of utensil marks. You can tell in the pictures how clear the glass still is. The plates measure 6 inches in diameter and are in excellent condition.

My mother tells me these plates had been around "forever" before Grom got sick in the very early 70s, and we believe them to be no newer than the 1950s, but may possibly be from a previous decade.

30 years as a vintage collector and hours of additional research help me to do my best to accurately describe and identify items before listing. Please feel free to share additional information if you have knowledge about a particular item - I love to learn. And if you're not happy with an item you can always contact me to work out a solution.

I love sending my items as gifts - let me know if you'd like wrapping or a personal gift card.

My preferred method of sending and receiving money is Amazon Payments (www.amazonpayments.com). It works instantly via email like PayPal, only is a much smoother transaction with NO FEES! All you need is your regular account with Amazon.com, and to have a United States bank account. I'm also accepting PayPal temporarily, but if you're in the US Amazon is way better. :)
