The thing I love about this piece is its red color! Who doesn't need a bright splash of red to brighten up a drab decor?

This one is a candidate for an interior make over since the side lining has started to come loose in a few spots and there are some stains. As you can see the elastic "died" a long time ago. The outside would be a great base for a decoupage project like a map or a bright floral design.

There is one piece on the outside (about an inch square) where the surface has peeled off. The latches will latch securely, however you have to "help" them catch by pushing the latch back into place. I noticed that lots of old suitcases are like this. I guess the spring mechanism gives out after a while.

I don't know the maker of this suitcase. There are no brand names or markings on it.

See all the other vintage luggage on my "Vintage Suitcases" page of "This Shop." I have MANY cases that, due to time, I haven't gotten around to listing yet so let me know if there is something you are looking for. I probably have it stashed here and that's why you haven't been able to find it!
