This gorgeous doll from the early 1950's has spent most of her life in her box. She's completely original and I believe she was probably a store display model. When I got her she had about a 1/16 inch hole drilled thru one foot clear thru the shoe. I have had the hole professionally repaired -filled and airbrushed and you can't tell t was ever there. The reason something like that would have been done is because she was a store display and she was screwed or nailed to a board of table so that she wouldn't fall over. The store probably didn't sell her with the hole and just her back in the original box for storage and forgot about her for the past 60 years.

She was in her original box in the photograph the dealer send me when I bought her but the dufus I bought her from threw it out, so i don't what her number is--sorry. :-(

I believe the dress is quite rare- I've never seen it before, but I don't normally collect Sweet Sue.

There is a little chip in her hat (let side) and there is still a little mar on the bottom of the fuzzy bottom shoe where it had been drilled. I'll see if can find or create some velour of that color and fill it in, but no promises. There's a tad of aging to the white lace at the bottom of the skirt, but nothing very noticeable. Sweet Sue walks beautifully. This doll is 21 inches high (without hat) and is all hard plastic except for elbow jointed hard viny arms (which are in perfect condition). Doll has her original tag.
