Oh My! Here's a pretty red Paconia officinalis flower just for you!

This gorgeous vintage botanical by Redoute is printed on a heavy matte finished paper and it's just as smooth and flat as the day it was printed a quarter century ago. This pretty print's colors are still fresh and lovely . I just love the frontal perspective showing the bright golden stamens at the very heart of the ruffled blossom.

'Paconia officinalis' measures 10.5" x 7.6" and it's 8.5" x 12" overall. This lovely single blossom would be ever so dramatic framed.

Matted, framed and displayed as a gallery grouping, these pretty vintage botanical book prints are simply spectacular. (Please note that the framed examples in the last photos are just to show how this might look when it's matted and framed. Your print will come unmatted and unframed.)

Surrender Dorothy offers a non-stop jaw-dropping cornucopia of frame-worthy antique and vintage prints, drawings, ads, sketches, plans, lithos, engravings, posters, maps, charts and illustrations of all kinds to adorn every room in your happy home. Terrific finds to gussy up your workplace too.

Our entire inventory moves in and out of here very quickly and fresh selections are added each day, Please be sure to bookmark our shop and check back to visit us often so you don't miss our latest discoveries.

I'll send this to you First Class Mail by way of those nice folks at the USPS packed flat and protected in a rigid mailer.

Pierre-Joseph Redouté was born 1759 in Saint-Hubert, Belgium and he died in Paris in 1840 at the age of 80 while sitting at his easel painting a lily.

Nicknamed "The Raphael Of Flowers" he was painter and botanist, best known for his watercolors of roses, lilies and other flowers. He was the official court artist of Queen Marie Antoinette and he continued painting through the French Revolution and the Reign of Terror.

Redouté survived the turbulent political upheaval to gain international recognition for his precise renderings of plants, which remain as fresh in the early 21st century as when they were first painted.

Damages In The US Mail.
They happen sometimes.
Although we carefully wrap our vintage breakables in tons of bubblewrap and tons of padding and pack them in sturdy shipping boxes, damages still sometimes happen. *sigh*
