When you love gems like I do, you won't rest till you acquire all the various cuts and colours. With these jelly opals and rutiles, I made sure I covered all the locales as the material from each gives the beads different characteristics.

This is one collector's mini-strand (approx 4") coming in at 32 carats and twenty matched beads. From the centre outwards, this strand includes:

~ Brazilian rutilated flecked citrine like amber (gorgeous material, never seen on Etsy) 10mm
~ vibrant Mexican orange fire opal 6mm
~ Brazilian gold rutilated quartz 7mm
~ Juniper Ridge cognac opal 6.5mm (stunning opal only from Oregon), look at the inner glow!
~ Australian milky opal 7mm
~ Juniper Ridge dark tangerine opal 6mm (stunning opal only from Oregon)
~ dark blood red Mexican cherry opal (very rare and very expensive too) 6mm
~ crystalline Mexican white fire opal 6.5mm
~ crystalline Mexican yellow fire opal 6.5mm
~ vibrant Mexican orange fire opal 6mm

A true collector's strand (go ahead, please, enlarge the photos); let's see if you can even bear to put these fabulousbeads into a design. Don't mistake these for the more common Mexican fire opal rondelles readily available (see Photo 4, a comparison with another strand with rondelles 3-4mm); this is one helluva strand with bite!

Absolutely no colour enhancement on these pictures. Have a quick read about what I stand for (it's not boring, promise) here at: http://www.etsy.com/shop/BaliBotanika/policy
