This will make a wonderful addition to any cook book collection and would make a nice gift for the foodie in your life. The book has 770 pages of recipes, suggestions for food preservation and images. The cover is a bit stained, as are some of the pages. It is yellowed with age but still a terrific find. Sections in this cook book include (but are not limited to):

-cooking terms and methods
-food values (as they were in 1931)
-raised bread and bisquits
-toast and crumbs
-baking - powder biscuits, muffins, quick breads
-cheese and vegetarian dishes
-cocktails, canapes and hors d'oeuvres
-soups with stock
-vegetables and cream soups
-lamb and mutton
-liver, sweetbreads
-hot and cold entrees
-salad dressings
-desserts - hot, cold, frozen, sauces, pastry, pies, gingerbreads, cookies, cakes, confections
-jellies, jams, marmalades and conserves
-pickes and relishes
-drying of fruits and vegetables

All vintage items might have some imperfections due to their age, use or the way they were made. Many of these flaws give the aged pieces charm. Please read the descriptions and view the photographs carefully. Sometimes, the colors you see on your screen in the images are slightly different than the true color(s) of the item. I would be happy to email additional photographs or answer any questions you may have.
