You're looking at a nice specimen of an Echeveria succulent. It's leaves are a greyish-green with a rosey tinge. The common name is hen and chicks. Echeverias grow in rosettes where one can be cut off from the mother plant and propagated to grow more. The foliage is very striking with the rosettes open where as others are tightly packed. I'll be offering a nice variety where you can start you're own collection.

Succulents are a pretty hardy group of plants. They store water in their leaves and do well planted in a sandy soil to insure good drainage. They do well outdoors in warmer climates so be sure to bring them indoors if you live outside zone 8 when the weather cools down. Place them near a sunny window if you plan to keep them indoors.

If you plan on making you own bouquet, here's a link to a great youtube video...very helpful!
