This is the coolest necklace ever! I can see this strutting down the runway or in some exotic photo shoot! A wonderful tribal or ethnic piece. Not sure of the age, but has a good amount of patina and could be East Indian or from Thailand, as elephants are highly symbolized. The very huge 4" repoussé pendant appears to be made from a silver mix or possibly silver plated. Although it looks heavy, it is fairly lightweight for its size. It features two elephants on either side with roughly scalloped edges. The remainder of the necklace has graduated sizes of what I believe to be agate or carnelian beads. They are a pinkish rust color. with swirl and variation, sized from 3/4" down to the smallest 1/2". There are also one inch and 15mm sized, what I will call mushroom beads, cylinder beads and rounds in the same silver metal as the pendant, they are hollow, so also lightweight. Necklace portion measures 18" with the pendant adding an additional 4". Closes with a shepard's type hook clasp. I'm sure this is a one-of-a-kind and will never be found again, so if you want it, don't think it will last!
