This is a very lovely vintage ring estimated to be from the early 1940's or so....towards the end of the Art Deco era....

Crafted of solid 14K white gold, the ring features an old mine cut diamond solitaire.....the diamond is approximately 4.3 mm in diameter, so is estimated to be approximately .32 carats or so. It is a nice, lively old diamond, with an elevated small table and open culet. I would judge the color to be approximately I (near-colorless) and the stone is completely eye-clean and also looks very clean under my 14x loupe.

The diamond is held by four prongs in an elevated square illusion style head that makes the diamond appear a bit larger. The prongs show wear, but are still in pretty good shape. The setting is approximately 6mm square and is set so that the setting appears to be diamond shaped when on the hand. There is pretty pierced work that allows light into the diamond.

On either shoulder of the ring are pretty scrolls that really set off the diamond solitaire and enhance the vintage appeal of the ring. The face of the ring is approximately 10 x 17 mm and the rise off the finger is approximately 6 mm.

The band is still very strong and sturdy and is marked "14K" on the inside of the band. The total weight of the ring is a nice 3.30 grams.

Currently the ring is a size 5, but could be sized by a good jeweler who is experienced with older jewelry. (** Please read my policies page for more information regarding sizing or feel free to convo me to discuss it or to obtain a quote from my trusted jeweler! I'm also happy to help you locate a recommended jeweler in your area.)

This is a lovely and graceful ring...and very sturdily made....ready for a new life as an engagement or wedding ring...or perhaps just a special ring for any occasion!

Please convo with questions and Thanks for looking!
