Dear Makers,

This Sewing Pattern is a digital product for sewing the ''ZIG ZAG HIP BRIEFS''.
A classic Style for Men. It does not include a physical garment.

The Zig Zag Briefs are constructed to feature a tight modern fit with a 1,5 inch elastic waist band and stretchable fold over elastics for the legs. Realizable on your regular sewing machine. No Serger or Coverlock needed. Seam allowances are included and seam lines are visible for an easier workmanship.

Before your purchase check the measurements to choose your size.
Example: size 12 corresponds to size 28 for denim pants. But it's better to measure the top edge of your favorite Briefs like displayed on the picture.

Fabric Recommendations:

Stretchable light weight jersey with 5-10% elastane.
Always prewash your fabric. Calculate 5% shrinkage
for cotton fabrics when buying.

Pro tip: To create a bigger bulge use light fabric or consider using only one layer of fabric for the front part.

Please take a look at the finished garment measurements and the body measurements. You will find them in the picture section of each item.
Compare a similar garment when it lays flat on a table with the garment measurement table. If you don’t have a similar garment, compare your body measurements with the body measurement table.
If your measurements are in between two sizes choose the closest size that fits your measurements or use the bigger size and make adjustments to the pattern.
The most important measurement for tops is the chest (C). The most important measurement for pants is the hip (H).

This method has many advantages over a real life garment such as perfect standard sizing, perfect lighting and perfect fabric behavior. Yet it can still happen that the fit needs to be adjusted to your individual body proportions. With three pictures of the muslin model (front, side, back) I can show you the adjustments to achieve your ideal fit.
