This design was inspired by a piece of filet lace. It is stitched all in DMC B5200 (bright white) thread, but the depth of the finished product is achieved by how it is stitched. The most dense areas are stitched with two strands of floss using a full cross stitch. The lightest, least dense areas, are stitched with one strand of floss using a tent stitch (one leg of a cross stitch). The areas in between are stitched with one strand of floss using a full cross. A simple variation of usual cross stitching can produce a unique result. I stitched this on a piece of 28 count lugana that I dyed myself using indigo and purple Rit dye.
Pattern is black and white and uses full cross stitches and tent stitches only.
Stitch count is 151 x 151.
