This is a very sweet and charming diamond engagement ring from the early 1940's, so the late Art Deco era.....

Featuring three small old diamonds, the ring is crafted of solid 14K yellow and white gold. The diamonds are set in white gold and the rest of the ring is in yellow gold. The center diamond is the largest at approximately 3 mm in diameter, so estimated to be approximately .10 carats. It's a pretty, round, old cut diamond with a tiny open culet. I would judge it's color to be in the I-J range of near-colorless and it is both eye-clean and really clean under my loupe. It has nice sparkle to it, as well.

It's held in place by four decorative prongs of white gold and is suspended over a square illusion style head that is approximately 6 x 6mm. The prongs all show a lot of wear and should be retipped to keep the diamond safe.

On either shoulder is a small old single cut diamond, set into pretty settings with a star kind of design and the original milgrain work intact. Each diamond is approximately 1.3 mm in diameter and is also eye-clean and clean under my loupe. (again, all the prongs show wear and should be retipped for safety) The ring also has some pretty pierced work to allow light into the diamond's settings. The face of the ring is approximately 6 x 13mm and the rise off the finger is approximately 5 mm.

The band shows a bit of wear and thinning, though is still quite strong. Inside the band it is still marked "14K - G." The total weight of the ring is 1.65 grams.

Currently the ring is a size 6.75, though it could be sized by a good jeweler who is comfortable working on older jewelry. It likely would require more gold to be added to the back of the band if it is made much larger than it already is. (** Please read my policies page for more information regarding sizing or feel free to convo me to discuss it or to obtain a quote from my trusted jeweler!)

Ready for it's new life as an engagement, promise or wedding ring...or perhaps just a lovely piece of history to add to your collection!

Please convo with questions and Thanks for looking!
