This HUGE large handled 26 oz. mug is perfect for large hands.

This mug holds 3 1/4 cups of hot or cold beverage. It is 5 3/8 in. tall.
The diam. to the outside top rim is 3 3/8 in. The bottom diam. is almost almost 4 in.

Heat and re heat this mug in the MICROWAVE all day long, and the Rim never gets hot!

At 5 3/8 in. tall it has plenty of room for sloshing around that extra cream and sugar or whipped cream over hot chocolate while you are getting ready for your day or already working on a project. The diameter to the outside of the top rim is 3 3/8 inches.

I made this stoneware ceramic mug on my potters' wheel and fired it to cone 6 temp. It is MICROWAVE safe, DISHWASHER safe, and FOOD SAFE.

Inside the mug color is a reddish, tan/gold colored glaze with a matte finish.

The outside is slightly shiny and entertains you with a variety of earthy colors .... gold yellow, chocolate, red, blue, green, that undulate with excitement, and will give you a unique visual experience topped off with a final statement of loose brush strokes inspired by the beautiful landscape near my studio. Visit my GLAZING PROCESS described below.

These mugs are large and sturdy enough for any one with large hands. Fill them in the morning and re heat your beverage all day long in the microwave, and the rim and handle never get hot

My stoneware mugs are large but light weight. They are made on a potters wheel and have hand pulled handles. I fire at cone 6 stoneware temperature and use FOOD SAFE glazes.
They are MICROWAVE and DISHWASHER safe. They are not easy to tip due to the wide base. Take them with your hot or cold beverage to the garden, garage office...wherever the day takes you.

My GLAZING PROCESS encourages the glaze to move and transform during the firing.
The multi colored brown glaze on the outside shows a variety of colors....gold, rusty brown. specks of red, blue, green, chocolate, as the glaze is dipped and layered. Specks of dark red and deep dark blue add flair to each mug. The loose brushwork gives each mug an additional artistic quality relating the piece to my landscape paintings.

I am drawn to the streams and waterfalls in the Berkshire Mountains here, and continually search for ways to communicate the experiences they have offered me. This series of mugs has well captured those moments. I know you will be able to grasp my inspiration when using these mugs.

THE STAGE WAS SET, MY PART WAS PLAYED....
....the outcome was determined by the firing in the electric kiln and the rainy day that helped to bring on numerous periods of dueling with my old old kiln.... adjusting switches in search of cone melts for temperatures at exactly the right time, positioning of the mugs in the kiln, and the inspiration that leads me to create another load of pots that might have such a uniquely beautiful outcome.

The depth of color and design is well developed on this mug series. Each one is unique and a little different than the next. A nice surprise is how the colors change as your eye travels around each mug with a cohesiveness to the design. Knowing how often each mug will be used is a reward for me. Use them out doors whenever possible to enjoy their color completely.
