Pink Chirimen and Kimono Silk~ You get both of these bobby pins!!

This 100% silk red kimono silk was taken from a kimono and it was paired with pink chirimen. These have great texture too.

Each flower has a pearl accent.

Each petal is folded individually and attached to a base using rice starch. The backs are 100% wool felt in matching colors.

Each flower is about 1.5 inches in diameter and on a 1.75 inch black bobby pin.

What Is Tsumami Kanzashi??

Tsumami means to pinch. Kanzashi means hair stick. What this means is that each petal is made out of a square piece of silk that is pinched together with tweezers to make the shape. Each petal is then arranged together with other petals to make the flower form. It is like unit origami only with hand dyed silk, vintage silks, and kimono silks!
