This chainmaille necklace was inspired by the ruby dreamstone that is stolen from Morpheus in the Sandman compilation "Preludes and Nocturnes" by Neil Gaiman. Morpheus's ruby contains his strength, his power, part of his very soul.

I handwove the chain for this chainmaille necklace from black anodized aluminum rings, using the Byzantine weave. Dangling from its center is a sparkly, faceted bright red glass crystal.

This chainmaille necklace is rope-like and dense, but extremely lightweight -- you'll barely know you have it on! It measures 18" long with an extender that makes it adjustable to 20", and closes securely with a lobster claw clasp. If you would like it lengthened or shortened at no additional charge, just let me know in your "message to seller." The crystal measures about 3/4" long.
