Hella, 100% superwash merino.

Hella is a red-haired witch from Mikhail Bulgakov's Master and Margarita. Although Bulgakov worked on the novel from 1928 - 1940, it was not until 1967 and Bulgakov's posthumous "rehabilitation" that Soviet authorities allowed it to be published.
For Hella, a beautifully complex and rosy brown.

Instantly both hoodlums vanished, and in their place a totally naked woman - red-haired, with burning phosphorescent eyes - appeared before the manager.
Varenukha realized that this was the most frightful of all the things that had befallen him that afternoon. He moaned and sprang back against the wall. And the woman came up close to the manager and laid her palms upon his shoulders. Varenukha's hair stood up, for even though the cold and water-soaked fabric of his Tolstoy blouse he felt that those palms were still colder, that they were as cold as ice.
"Let me kiss you," the woman said tenderly, and the blazing eyes were brought right up against his own. Varenukha fainted and never felt the kiss.

-Mikhail Bulgakov, The Master and Margarita (published 1967)

Base: Lusca Sock
Content: 100% superwash merino
Yardage: Approximately 390 yards / 356 meters per 100 gram skein

Lusca is a wonderfully soft sock yarn with surprising sheen. This is a 2-ply yarn with a firm twist that makes it perfect for socks, gloves, and shawls. Handwash recommended.

Dark Yarns are dyed with professional acid dyes. Please be aware that yarns are hand-dyed and appearance may vary somewhat from skein to skein. I do list skeins separately where there is considerable variation between skeins. Although I take care to photograph yarns accurately, please be aware that colors may vary from monitor to monitor.
