This listing is for an original box of antique party invitations "For Little People" made by Hurd's Fine Stationery of New York. This lovely set gives a glimpse into a by-gone world of Edwardian etiquette and elegance.

Printed on lovely, linen like robins-egg blue stock, in a formal cursive font, are the words:

"Will you come to my party on _________.
Please write and say you will.
(One would write their name here)
Shall be very happy to see you.

From _______o'clock to ________o'clock"
(A line for the address)

The inside of the card is blank for a personal note. Children were actually expected to write back, no doubt in fountain pen, to politely accept or decline.
The box is very battered and time-worn but the invitations and envelopes are in perfect shape and they are over 100 years old!
19 invitations -3.5" x 4.5"
21 envelopes to fit
These are in lovely condition and could still be used for their original purpose (wouldn't these be perfect for an antique themed party?) or for altered art or collage.

My pictures show the invite's, envelopes and the original box. Here is a link to a newspaper ad for Hurd's dated December 1915
