Limoges porcelain covered dish with underplate marked Elite Works Limoges France in red with green mark Elite France. Beautiful very feminine set featuring pink rose garlands with green leaves and smaller 5-petaled white flower garlands with pink accents. The underside of the lid has a small opening to insert a spoon so it may be a soup dish. Just at the edge of that opening is a tiny chip, only visible from beneath. Other than that, near perfect condition all 3 pieces, with just some age wear on the bottoms. The underplate measures 10" handle to handle - look closely at photos to see the pierced openings in the handles. The tureen or vegetable dish is 10" handle edge to handle edge. The handled cover is 8" round. A delicate raised design encircles the border of each piece, with brushed gold around the edges. The red Elite Works stamp indicates this set was made between 1896 and 1932. I refund any excess shipping over $.50 when paid through PayPal.
