This is the piece on the right of the first picture. This wheel-thrown stoneware vase has a celadon band between coats of red and white glaze that was poured on. The pattern of glaze is a frozen picture of the free path the glaze ran along after I poured it on the side. The interaction between celadon and red, along with the detail of the range of copper red effects, makes the piece interesting from every angle. The inside is copper red with a broad range of reds, purples, and grey-blues from the inconsistency of the glaze. The red on this piece really turned out diverse and beautiful. Measures about 9 inches tall by 9 inches in diameter at the lip.

I will be taking a class in Turkey this May term. Any orders placed before May 30 will not be shipped until June 1 because I will be out of the country. Thanks for your patience. Hopefully I'll find lots of new inspiration as I travel!
