Large tote made from oatmeal colored grain sack hand loomed hemp linen. It has faded pink and blue stripes down it. It is nubby and soft and from the early 1900s. I thought that this would make a great diaper bag because of the colors. Also, when I carried one, I wanted it to be large. This measures 21 inches wide by 21 inches tall with 5" side and bottom panels. I have double stitched and serged the seams. The straps are made from two layers of linen ribbon imported from France sewn together. Needless to say, this is a sturdy bag. Great baby gift for the vintage/shabby sort of mom. Machine washable.

PS I am not lining these because I think the fabric is so fantastic that short of lining with another grain sack material, any other fabric would detract from the beauty of the tote.
