An excellent example of early 60's Heath ceramics, this lidded pot is absolutely stunning. This unique piece is the height of everything Edith Heath did right: incredible shapes, elegant colors, and gorgeous craftsmanship. Featuring a stunning turqoise glaze and a strikingly unique shape, this is the only example we could find of a piece of this kind. Furthermore, this piece is marked simply "Heath" on the bottom, leading us to believe it is a particularly early example. There is one manufacturing flaw in the glaze (seen in photo three), and the rim of the bowl has a fair ammount of fleabites (seen well in photo 4), though when the lid is in place they do little to take away from the piece. Perfect for display or use, this Heath dish is a testament to the simple yet stunning prowess of one of the Mid Century's finest ceramicists.
