Strikingly modern, this sculpture displays the simple and fun geometric abstraction we so love about mid century design! Created by Laurids Lonborg of Denmark, this piece plays on the idea of an "atomic tree", its black metal "trunk" and connecting wire "branches" showcasing pink and purple plastic balls of various sizes. What we love most about this piece is the sense of interactivity it exhibits; the branches bob and sway with the slightest breeze or touch, giving it an animated quality that is often lacking from similar works of art. This piece is missing its original sticker, but is otherwise in phenomenal condition for its age, with only some slight discoloration of some of the balls and a bit of general wear. Sure to become the focal point of any Eames Era home, this piece would no doubt add a touch of whimsy to any space!
