Since 1866 the Woodard family of Owosso, Michigan have stood to represent a long line of definitive design and fine craftsmanship. This particular rocker, a striking mid-century construction by Lee L. Woodard (Father to Russell Woodard, widely known for his resurgent line of 'Sculptura' wire mesh furniture).

This chair is in impressive vintage condition, with incredibly soft ,naturally distressed rich brown leather. The arm rests show expected signs of normal use. Stunning, with a very gentle patina throughout. One "issue" that simply needs mentioning are two small splits found in the crease where seat and back meet together, being easily overlooked without spreading the cushioning (photo 5).
