Classic, elegant, and infused with an ultra-bohemian prairie-chic vibe, this vintage Gunne Sax maxi dress from the 70s has all the makings of a wardrobe staple…or quite possibly THE wardrobe staple – a perfect gown for the hippie-leaning bride on her wedding day.

A full skirt featuring tier after tier of gorgeous semi-sheer voile, paired with flattering poet’s sleeves, does proper justice to the understated color: call it ivory or bone, off-white or cream, but whatever you name it this particular antique-inspired hue has 1970s dream-girl written all over it! Tiny details like the pearl buttons, ribbon trim, and an exaggerated tie-back sash are classic examples of Jessica McClintock’s famous design aesthetic, but the extra bonus of a collar embroidered with pale pink roses gives this particular dress something extra-special to wear on that special day (or any day the sun shines, really!).

-Gunne Sax
-no size label
-no content label (body is cotton or cotton-blend, lining most likely acetate)
-Cross Shoulder: 14”
-Sleeve Length: 27”
-Bust: 34”
-Waist: approximately 26”
-Hips: approximately 40”
-Total Length: 57”
-Condition: Very Good / AS-IS (Dress is in gorgeous condition, with no flaws that threaten wearability at all. However, the dress shows some signs of wear including: one area approximately 1 ½” in length where a tear has been very well-repaired at the hemline, two very minor thread pulls we could locate – one on the bottom tier of the skirt and one on the fabric overlapping the zipper, and a few places around the gathered tier seam where the fine gauze fabric is pulling apart. This last flaw necessitates our ‘As-Is’ condition rating since the buyer will likely want to have this seam reinforced professionally to prevent further damage if the dress is going to be worn often.)
