Here's a great old Powder Case souvenir of the Great Lakes Exposition which was held in Cleveland during 1936 and 1937.

The Expo attracted over seven million visitors from around the Midwest and beyond. The lakefront industrial fair was a forerunner of today's World's Fairs. It featured a 'Streets of the World' international shopping and dining exhibit, a Hall of Progress, a Marine Theater, and a variety of specialty gardens.

The powder case is enameled green over brass. One side features the art deco design of an eagle and a few seaguls. Inside you will find original lush in bight color and light powder. Which all can be easily removed to replace with your own choice of colors.

At the time of the Expo, Cleveland was America's sixth largest city and was mired in the midst of the Great Depression. Still, the city found a way to celebrate. And this little bit of history remains as a souvenir.

It measures 3" by 3". A few minor scratches mostly in the back but overall, this is in excellent condition.

Thank you for your interest, and please, let me know if you have any additional questions.
