For your consideration - a jade green pressed glass pendant necklace set in an antiqued brass setting featuring a sweet brass swallow on the chain. It measures 18" and can be lengthened or shortened per your request.

I am so enamoured of these vintage glass cabochons from Occupied Japan (1945-1952). Picture Japanese farmers tending their rice fields during the day and pressing glass at night. American novelty manufacturers (buttons, beads, etc.) took European samples to Japan after the war in an effort to forge manufacturing partnerships. A co-operative of Japanese rice farmers out of Osaka called Cherry Glass was one of resulting partnerships. Thousands of these cabochons have been found unused in both Japan and America. Most of them in their original packaging as you can see in one of my pictures.

I've set the cab in an antiqued brass setting and placed a swallow on the chain pointing toward the lovely floral glass piece. The color of the cab is a mottled jade green and my favorite of the many colors that have been found. Thank you.
