And the most desirable human being??? Why that would be the sexy man on the cover John Taylor. And how did he earn this most illustrious title? Why from the Star Hits 1st Annual Readers Poll of course.

This issue has all the results from the poll such as song of the year, best dance tune, best male/female singer, best dressed, weirdest haircut and even what band you would like to see stranded on Mars. Not just the readers had their say. Find out who Sade, Howard Jones, Boy George, Nick Rhodes and a few other stars picked as their favs.

In the midst of all this poll action, you get interviews with Bronski Beat, Pat Benatar, General Public on the set of their new video "Never You Done That" and a Billy Idol timeline aptly named "Birth of an Idol". And the lyrics to "Sugar Walls" by Sheena Eason, "Jungle Love" by Morris Day and The Time, "Smooth Operator" by Sade and "Go For It" by Kim Wilde.

Although the Wham centerfold mentioned on the content page lived on my wall back in 85, the Frankie foldout inner cover poster is still intact looking ever so delicious. And of course what issue of Star Hits would be complete without my pen-pal favs ;)

Being the vintage treasure that it is, the cover is partially detached at the bottom and there's a slight yellow "patina" on the pages.

This item will be placed in a bubble mailer and a shipping envelope on it's way to your top of the charts self.
