The cynical among you might suggest that these look like bisque-fired, unglazed goatse mugs.

The cynical among you would be correct.

These are factory-second mugs, since they have cracks all the way through the bottom. (The mug bottom; not the. . . uh. . . .) Some arms have cracks, too, but these pieces are solid -- they won't break from normal gardening wear and tear.

Since they have drainage holes, and since the bisque-fired clay is porous (like terra cotta), these pieces make perfect starter pots for small seedlings. A basil plant would look just lovely in there, wouldn't it?
