Greist called this its Super Adjustable lamp, back in the 1920s, because it was hinged--so it could sit on a table or desk, hang on a wall, or be clamped onto the edge of a work surface. It still does all those things, too. Brass-colored finish. Oak leaf design on the border of both base and shade. Bryant socket (push-through type) has a small non-threatening dent. Shade is in very good shape, with age-related wear, one mini-dent, and some unobtrusive loss of its finish's shine near the top, due (probably) to excess heat from bulbs. Rewired, but not recently. Works well. Made in New Haven, CT. Marked on the base with patents for 1908 and 1925. The underside of the base has some oxidation, no corrosion. There are 2 small dents atop leaves (on the top side of the base) that I didn't try to correct; they do look correctible, though. Height of base, 7 3/4 inches to top of socket, or 11 3/4 with shade on (and fitted on a standard bulb). Base is 4 1/2 inches in diameter. Shade is 5 7/8 inches in diameter and 3 1/2 inches tall to the top of the original finial.
