♛The Details

An upscale dress from the Mad Men era that says "ladies who (power) lunch." Exquisitely tailored of a navy blue raw silk lined in matching china silk. Beautiful tailored fit with a chic collar, princess seams, double-breasted buttons with bound buttonhole details, and 3/4 length sleeves. Closes up the back with a zipper.

Photos have been lightened for detail; dress is inky true deep navy in person, rich and unfaded, like the day it was made.

Deliciously snobby The French Shops, Boston - Filene's label attached, as well as designer Ben Gale by Roland Nemec label. This designer's pieces retailed for $200-300 and more, and this dress would cost thousands today; it's exquisitely crafted through and through.

All accessories (belts, jewelry, crinolines, pins, etc.) are for style inspiration only unless indicated.

Excellent, pristine vintage shape with no flaws or issues found. Recently dry-cleaned. Frequently asked questions about jumblelaya

Sorry, each garment in our shop is authentic vintage, dating from between 20 to 80 years old. We generally only have the one piece shown. We do not sew these items ourselves.

If you love it and it fits, consider buying it, since it's unlikely you'll find it again easily.
If it's older than, say, 1964 OR if you feel it fits our shop's aesthetic, absolutely! We pay fairly, generally 1/3 of retail, sometimes even more. Shoot us a note or set up an appointment to sell if you are in the Portland, OR metroplex!
Sure do! Convo us for an info sheet about it.
We do not have a brick-and-mortar shop, but we do have a private studio located on the banks of the Columbia River, directly across the river from Portland, OR. We offer LIMITED appointments currently, due to time constraints. But if you are serious about a piece or pieces you see, let us know and we'll set something up. Shop inventory is generally not kept in the studio, so you'll need to let us know ahead of time which garments you'd like to see in person.
