This is a nice small antique Victorian union case. The exterior is covered in dark pressed paper with an intricate medalion pattern. Interior lid is lined with apdded purple cut velvet. No glass, the phot compartment edged with purple fabric. Tiny brass closure with a star design.
This measures 2 7/16" by 2 15/16" and is 3/4" thick.
The condition is very good, with some scuffs, the cloth hinge is intact. As mentioned the glass is gone. These cases are fantastic foundations for altered art, assemblage art, art shrines and much more. The tiny size of this one is particularly nice.
