I painted a Sawyer Nomad vintage camera on a real library card catalog card for the book “Brazil in Pictures.” The camera is done in black and silver, while the flash is silver and blue. This is a highly detailed miniature painting that shows the lens, viewfinder and knobs on the camera. The painting is done with gouache, metallic silver pigments and archival illustrator's ink on a real 3 x 5 inch card.

Most card catalogue cards have already been lost to history after libraries across the nation switched to computer systems. I just had to save some cards and repurpose them so that they could be enjoyed into the future.

Ships in a protective stiff cardboard photo mailer within 1-3 days of receipt of order.

These cards look wonderful displayed on bookshelves, mantels, end tables, desks, pinned to your bulletin board or set up with collections of books — especially vintage books. To see more of my hand-painted library cards, visit the “Library Card Catalog” section of my shop at http://www.etsy.com/shop/WingedWorld?section_id=11288915.

If you live in Ashland or are visiting this quaint town that is home to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, you can see more of my hand-painted library cards at Revive Home Decor, 264 Fourth Street, Ashland, Oregon.
