A vintage ironstone butter box or refrigerator dish made by William Adams & Sons. The box features a fluted design on a glossy off-white ironstone. The bottom is marked with a coat of arms and "Real English Ironstone, Wm. Adams & Sons, England." This mark was used by the company from 1950 until they were bought by Wedgewood in the 1960s. The box is in good condition with no cracks or chips and little wear.

The box measures about 5" by 4" by 2.5".
