The Karomat 36 cameras were the first in the Karomat line to use normal 35mm cartridges instead of the Agfa Rapid cartridges. These were produced in the 1950's by Agfa, in their German camera works, for Ansco. Other unique features of this camera include a pop out lens housing which gives it a very distinctive look. This is a beautiful piece of camera history and a lovely addition to a collection!

Body is cosmetically very clean - some minor wear to the silver metal finish of the upper part of the body, and a lump to the leatherette on the back of the camera are the most major concerns. Camera is a bit dusty in the hard to reach places as well.

Functionally, camera does not appear to be working. Shutter doesn't work, or works intermittently. I am selling this camera as is, for decor and collection.
